Suzanne & Al – 10/9/11

Suzanne and Al were such a fun couple to work with! A fall wedding on Summit Avenue is not something to pass up as a planner!

These two unique and fun lovebirds planned a Sunday morning wedding in October to profess their love to each other in front of family and friends. Oh – did I mention that it was an OUTDOOR ceremony? That’s right – October in Minnesota…outside! I can respect the cajones that took. 🙂 It.was.BEAUTIFUL. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, although I don’t think it would’ve mattered as the guests were there to celebrate no matter what!

It began with guests being serenaded by a walking accordion as they arrived and found their seats at the ceremony site – so fun. The ceremony was unique and special – as it should be – with special readings, the couple’s bulldog as an honorary bridal party member, the ringing of a truce bell (great tradition to begin in your family!) and more accordion music. The theme/motif throughout the wedding was a vintage typewriter (love!) – so guests typed their well wishes on one instead of signing a guest book and all of the signage and paper products included a typewriter font. After a hearty meal and tear-jerking toasts (including a letter written by Al’s grandfather who couldn’t be there), the party moved downstairs where donuts were served for dessert, the bar was ready and karaoke awaited. You can imagine how the fun went from there…

“Are you looking for a wedding planner or day-of coordinator? You can stop now. Hire Bride Support. You will not be sorry!

I hired Meredith of Bride Support as a day-of coordinator for my October wedding. There were a lot of things to juggle for the day of my wedding– I did my own flowers from the farmer’s market, we had to bring our own bar, we needed to orchestrate bocce ball during cocktail hour, and we planned to do a donut table with the donuts on cake stands instead of a traditional wedding cake. So, in addition to all the other organizational tasks, Meredith had a lot on her plate.

It was never a problem for Meredith She took everything in stride, she was always a calming and fun presence, and her organization was impeccable. Not only was all the decor and setup exactly as I pictured it, but Meredith was there with a glass of wine when mine was nearing empty, and bobby pins when I didn’t notice a piece of hair had fallen out of my updo. Her presence was indispensable!

Not only was she great on the day-of the wedding, but Meredith was very helpful before the wedding with suggestions and being a listening ear for my concerns. It’s no wonder that as the reception was winding down, my bridesmaids said to me, “Do you think we could go out for cocktails with Meredith sometime? :)”

After the ceremony, bocce ball sets were broken out for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour.

Favors on place settings were customized slap koozies! How fun!

After dinner, a donut buffet was opened for dessert.

Angie & Mike – 9/24/11

Angie & Mike came to me towards the end of their wedding planning when they realized they needed someone to tie it all together and help them see the big picture. Their adorable adoration for each other was evident from the beginning and it was a true pleasure to help their day unfold as they had envisioned. Angie was a very organized and on top of it bride – so she made it easy to help and Mike was easy to please by his desire for his bride to be happy (a good man!). They invited their guests to an intimate autumn wedding outdoors at Majestic Oaks and a gorgeous reception inside. Their color palette was beautiful for the day, their friends were a blast to celebrate with and their personal touches were so cute.

“Meredith, you were the best, we would not have gotten through our day without you! We were able to ENJOY our wedding day, thanks to you and everything you did. Four thumbs up!”

The table numbers were a huge hit and point of pride by the Groom himself! He labeled each table with a jersey number of an athlete from one of his favorite teams. Underneath them, he wrote stats and facts about the player. Creative idea that kept guests interested!

Julie & Kyle – 9/17/11

Julie & Kyle came to me with an adorable love for one another and trust and faith in me and my services. After a previous booking of their wedding day and a handful of others who were turned down due to already being booked – Julie & Kyle booked me even though I couldn’t physically be there at their wedding. What an honor! Bride Support’s wedding planning advice helped them wrap up all of their loose ends before the wedding day, finalize everything with their vendors, write their timeline for the day-of, help with various details and most importantly – gave their event planner friend a crash course on how to assist the Bride and Groom on their wedding day. Their wedding day went beautifully due to having all of the details already thought through and someone on hand to take care of everything in-between.

Tanya & Soren – 8/20/11

Tanya and Soren had an extemely fun and special wedding in their own backyard! What a treat to get to live in a place where every day you can wake up and remember such a momentous time in your life together happening right where you stand – I love it!

They worked hard on a lot of great DIY projects to turn their backyard into the perfect Hawaiian-themed wedding venue. They built a structure for the ceremony, rented a bar, buffet and food area and brought on the party! There were more kids at this wedding than I’d every seen – but they loved every second of it! Guests had a blast celebrating with these lovebirds – all guests were handed leis upon arrival, tropical patterns were everywhere and the beautiful Hawaiian florals were just perfect. What a great, fun wedding for a wonderful couple!

“Meredith was amazing as our Day-of-Coordinator! It was such a relief to have her professional help in the final weeks of planning. She helped us realize our dream day through coordinating the timeline, communicating with vendors, and directing the rehearsal, ceremony and reception. We felt completely at ease putting our vision for our wedding in her capable hands and we recommend her services highly. Thank you Meredith– we couldn’t have done it without you!”

Beth & Sean – 08/13/11

Beth and Sean were such a dream couple! Working with them was such a breeze because Beth seriously had it all together. She was so on top of things, always communicating everything to me and had thought of it all! Because of that – she wanted someone there on the day of the wedding to be in their corner and make sure that the day went off without a hitch. Their hard word paid off – because it was an amazing day! Such a cute couple to get to celebrate. A favorite moment from their day was having a friend play “That’s Amore” on the accordian during the cake cutting – so cute! Guests had a blast in the photobooth and dancing to a fun DJ all night. The room was decorated beautifully with the ceiling draping, head table decor, flowers, chair covers and linens and guests got a special treat when a “s’mores station” was set up on the patio after dinner!

Abby & Arthur – 7/2/11

Abby & Arthur were a true joy to work with on their wedding from the beginning. After meeting them for the first time at our consult – I could immediately see how drawn to each other they both were and how excited they were as a couple for a special day to celebrate their love. Abby and Arthur put a lot of hard work into their day by completing lots of DIY projects to add to the uniqueness of their big day. It was so fun to see them all come together during set-up on their wedding day. Guests raved about the room’s decor all night and how sweet the ceremony was – especially since the couple’s dog was included as the ring bearer…tux and all! 🙂 Abby & Arthur also had a fun treat for their guests when their photographer set up an “un-photobooth” outside the room for guests to get their picture taken with fun props…always a hit!

“Meredith from Bride Support is fantastic. We had heard from other couples that a day-of coordinator was a must, but now that I look back on it, I simply could not imagine my wedding day and the weeks preceding it without Meredith’s help. Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming process, and my fiance and I had most things lined up, but we definitely felt the crunch toward the end. Meredith really helped relieve our stress. From communicating with and organizing our vendors to doing a walk through of the ceremony and reception site, she was really with us every step of the way. We did a lot of DIY things, so it was also super helpful to have Meredith take those items off of our hands a few days before the wedding–one less thing to worry about transporting to the venue. She helped us create and finalize our day of schedule and remembered all of the tiny things that had slipped my mind in the process. I tend to be a control freak, but the day of my wedding I felt totally confident leaving things in Meredith’s hands…she really put all of those little final touches on things that made the venue look amazing. Meredith helped keep things on schedule throughout the ceremony and reception and made sure that the day was just as we wanted. Even my parents were blown away by all of Meredith’s amazing work. After going through the whole thing, I see how important it is to have that extra help, and as I said early, I could not imagine doing a wedding without Meredith. My wedding day was so stress-free, and I know that would not have been possible without Bride Support.”

(Adding overlays to the venue’s tablecloths helped add finesse to the tables and incorporate the Bride’s colors.
Table numbers were engagement pictures of the Bride & Groom with the table number printed on them in pretty frames.)

(LOVE the elegant, simple cake.)

(Tissue poms at each place settings, matching motif on the escort cards.)

(The outdoor amphitheater at Centennial Lakes is a gorgeous spot for Minnesota weddings.)
