Renee & Mike – 6/8/2013
Renee & Mike had one of my favorite weddings in regard to theme/ambiance. They had lots of details and specifics planned for their wedding day – and wanted to make sure everything went well…that’s where we came in.
Guests were invited to the couple’s church where a meaningful and romantic ceremony officially made them Mr & Mrs. With a hand-fasting ceremony, wine ceremony and even a surprise poem from the Bride – two became one. The couple had family wedding photos hanging on the aisle pews and a fun bubble exit afterwards as they left the church.
Renee & Mike then hosted their guests at the beautiful International Market Square for the reception. With cafe lights strung from balcony to balcony and tons of fresh, bright floral – the vintage Italian-feel was obvious. Guests signed postcards in lieu of a guestbook and placed them in a trunk for the couple to take home. Table numbers were destinations and guests arrived there via their boarding pass escort cards (hanging on ivy-laden trellises, nonetheless :)). After a delicious meal and heart-felt toasts, the party got started with the couple cutting their cake – and the Bride presenting the Groom with an old-school Northstars hockey puck Groom’s cake. After dancing and enjoying each other’s company, the couple then surprised the guests one last time with a late-night snack of two of their favorite things – pizza and gelato…YUM.
What a fun “trip” this wedding was – congrats Renee & Mike!
