Allison & Nic – 10/5/2013

Allison & Nic, although living in the south, wanted to host their special day in a location that holds a special place in their hearts – St Paul. They invited their intimate group of guests (from all over the US) to two of St Paul’s most beautiful spots – Como Conservatory and W.A. Frost. Their morning ceremony in the Sunken Garden was touching, sweet and so intimate. As guests stood nearby, and the harp played – they made their way to the front of the garden to promise the rest of their lives to each other. Then, guests moved to W.A. Frost for a delicious brunch at the iconic restaurant. Such a lovely group of guests – and an even lovelier couple…best wishes to you two!

Allison & Nic wrote the following review…
“Meredith, from, was a lifesaver in so many ways for our wedding.  There wasn’t a conversation between my then-fiancé and I related to the wedding that didn’t include, “Make sure we tell Meredith about this… She’s so great.”

I was in doubt about the necessity of having a wedding coordinator- even a “day-of wedding coordinator.”  I didn’t think it’d be worth the money.  My then-fiancé convinced me that it, if nothing else, it might help to ease the stress planning a wedding inevitably elicits.  He was beyond right!  We couldn’t have predicted the challenges we’d face when it came to planning the wedding (including a move to the other side of the country!), and without Meredith, the wedding as a whole would have cost more, would not have been everything we’d hoped it would be, and ultimately it would have been a little more stressful and a little less joyful.

Meredith was prompt, offered resources, was accommodating above and beyond her expected responsibilities, and thought of every detail ahead of time so I never had to worry or feel rushed.  What we appreciated most was that while she was professional, and ensured everyone involved “got the job done,” she did so in such a way that was respectful and kept it fun.  On the day of my actual wedding, all I had to do was relax and enjoy the day- exactly how it should be.

My husband and I can’t thank Meredith enough for double-checking our plans, easing our worries, making recommendations, and answering every request we had with, “Sure, that’s no problem!”  I would recommend Meredith to anyone.  Even if you’re on a budget, cut costs somewhere else as you could potentially spend more without her.  The service Meredith provides ensures you will be able to create and enjoy the day you always dreamed of!”

Sarah & Mike – 9/14/13

There are a lot of fun elements from this wedding that stand out from me…it was an adorable day! Sarah & Mike hosted their ceremony and reception at the Day Block Building – such a great city venue. 🙂 Guests grabbed a drink before finding a seat for the ceremony and the Groom’s father officiated – making things extra personable.  The bride was so relaxed all day – it made it easy for everyone to have a good time. After the big kiss, the couple’s string instrument-playing-friends played “Bad Romance” as they exited the ceremony site…so fun! Cocktail hour took place while the room flipped into reception – some simple mason jar centerpieces and lights strung on the ceiling was all they needed….oh – and tables named after Star Wars references. Dinner was Pizza Luce…who doesn’t love that? And dessert was donuts from a favorite bakery…including a special one for the Bride & Groom with Star Wars action figures as a “topper.” The photographer opened up a popular “un-photo booth” after dinner and the group enjoyed micro-brews and dancing all night. Congrats, Sarah & Mike!

Kristine & Ryan – 9/7/2013

Kristine & Ryan hosted a sophisticated and gorgeous day in Spicer, MN on the day they were wed. After the ceremony when they said those special vows to one another, they headed to the historic Spicer Castle for the celebration. Guests were greeted with a yummy popcorn bar and a bar stocked with mason jars for their drinks throughout the night. Guests found their table via their escort “cards” & favors – mini hot sauce bottles! The tables were beautifully decorated with some flowers from the mother-of-the-bride’s garden and burlap-wrapped wine bottles as table numbers…oh – and cakes on every table! Guests loved that touch. 🙂 Dinner was served by Big River Pizza – who cooked the pizzas in a woodfire oven on-site…YUM! After some toasts, cake cutting and their first dance as husband & wife, the party began. What a fun group this was to be around all day – and an adorable Bride & Groom. Congrats!

Kim & Tom – 8/3/2013

Kim & Tom had a positively lovely and classy wedding day in Minneapolis with their closest family and friends. After planning their big day while he lived in VA and she lived in Iraq – they were thrilled to finally be together and making it official! The Graves 601 hotel was the perfect setting for such a modern couple. The ceremony took place in the ballroom; With siblings as the  attendants – and a family friend officiating, it was a sweet and meaningful ceremony. Not to mention the beautiful guitar and vocal stylings of Angela Bobick! After a cocktail hour in the foyer and a room flip in the ballroom – guests were invited into the reception for the couple’s first dance, delicious meal and some heartfelt toasts. I loved how Kim & Tom carried the motif from their invitations through to their escort cards and cake. Oh – and the cake!…which included a hand-sculpted version of their dog…so cute! Gateaux also provided a beautiful dessert buffet with takeout boxes for guests to take treats home in. The wedding was an intimate affair – you certainly couldn’t deny the love from everyone in the room and especially in-between the couple. What a special day for these two – congrats, Kim & Tom!

Angie & Cory – 6/9/2013

Angie & Cory came to Bride Support excited about making their commitment to each other official and wanting to show their intimate group of friends & families a great time without them having to worry much about it. Although they hired Bride Support as a “day-of coordinator” – as always – we were there for them the entire way leading up to their wedding day. With some moments of stress and frustration, unique ideas and suggestions needed – we made sure to be there for them and help out with those final planning moments…we’re here for you (not just on the wedding day!)! Their big day finally arrived – and it was a beautiful one, indeed. The couple put a lot of hard work and time & effort into the decor and details of their day – and we wanted to make sure that shined through.

Guests arrived to their beautiful setting of the Mayowood Stone Barn and witness the exchanging of vows and joining together of a new family through Angie & Cory’s ceremony in the barn’s loft. The Groom’s brother officiated the wedding and a “tree ceremony” joined together the two, as well as their daughter. Guests waved ribbon flags as the couple recessed down the aisle as newlyweds – and then they enjoyed cocktail hour in the blacksmith shop, where they were treated with a popcorn buffet and dessert table, as well as lawn games. Dinner was served in the main level of the barn – complete with lots of beautiful DIY decor by the couple. The room looked very elegant in the black and taupe color scheme – and fresh florals to top it all off. After dinner and toasts, a friend of the couple engaged the crowd in a fun version of “The Newlywed Game” where guests answered questions about the couple via a smartphone application…fun! Then, the cupcake buffet & photo booth opened for entertainment – and later, a late night snack and bonfire complete with s’mores.

What a great day for an adorable couple – congrats you two!

Renee & Mike – 6/8/2013

Renee & Mike had one of my favorite weddings in regard to theme/ambiance. They had lots of details and specifics planned for their wedding day – and wanted to make sure everything went well…that’s where we came in.

Guests were invited to the couple’s church where a meaningful and romantic ceremony officially made them Mr & Mrs. With a hand-fasting ceremony, wine ceremony and even a surprise poem from the Bride – two became one. The couple had family wedding photos hanging on the aisle pews and a fun bubble exit afterwards as they left the church.

Renee & Mike then hosted their guests at the beautiful International Market Square for the reception. With cafe lights strung from balcony to balcony and tons of fresh, bright floral – the vintage Italian-feel was obvious. Guests signed postcards in lieu of a guestbook and placed them in a trunk for the couple to take home. Table numbers were destinations and guests arrived there via their boarding pass escort cards (hanging on ivy-laden trellises, nonetheless :)). After a delicious meal and heart-felt toasts, the party got started with the couple cutting their cake – and the Bride presenting the Groom with an old-school Northstars hockey puck Groom’s cake. After dancing and enjoying each other’s company, the couple then surprised the guests one last time with a late-night snack of two of their favorite things – pizza and gelato…YUM.

What a fun “trip” this wedding was – congrats Renee & Mike!

Chelsea & Marc – 5/4/2013

Chelsea & Marc’s wedding was an especially fun one to be a part of since Chelsea is one of Bride Support’s coordinator’s sister! Marisa knew her sister would need some help and Chelsea was happy to oblige to the assistance of our team.

With a sharp looking bridal party and a fun & relaxed atmosphere – Chelsea and Marc made it down the aisle and through a meaningful and funny ceremony at the church they attend together. They traveled to some local spots to do some special photos with their friends and then made their way to the Crow River Winery for the reception. What a treat it was to be at this brand new wedding venue – and a beautiful one, it is! Guests enjoyed the tasting room area and cocktail hour in the main space with tasteful appetizers and passed champagne. The reception was a fun and boisterous one! The DJ got the couple laughing with the shoe game and the crowd interactive with games and props. This crowd sure knew how to party – what a celebration!
