Katy & Bill – 9/15/12

Katy & Bill had a unique and fun wedding that guests raved about all night!

With a “blank slate” venue like PNA Hall – Katy and Bill had a vision of how they wanted their day to look. With blue and white lanterns hanging all around and some gorgeous flowers by a friend, the room was ready as guests started arrive. The stage at the hall was reserved for the bride and groom’s ceremony, so guests gathered around it as well as lined the aisle that they walked down. With a sweet and endearing ceremony, two became one and the party began immediately after the couple recessed down the aisle and grabbed a beer for the receiving line. ūüôā

Guests milled about during cocktail hour and were anxious for the Chow Girls dinner to begin. After eating – parents and honor attendants gave their toasts…including a super fun slideshow/speech from the bride’s girlfriends. The party started with the couple’s first dance while DQ blizzard cakes were served for dessert. This crowd sure knew how to party – and they did! Congrats, Katy & Bill!

Ashley & Tom – 9/8/12

Ashley & Tom’s wedding was such a sweet, sweet day for such an adorable couple.

They invited their guests to a unique wedding locale – an old Girl Scout campground north of the metro…some guests were even overnight guests in the cabins! The ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the lake – and although it was a bit windy, no one seemed to mind. With an honest, loving message and a fantastic rendition of “Such Great Heights” by a groomsman – guests were moved by the touching ceremony. After the couple was wed, guests gathered around tiki torches on the side lawn for cocktails, hors deouvres and lawn games.

Soon, the party started inside the hall Рwhich was a rustic beauty adorned with white lights, burlap and woodsy decor and candles. The emcee began with a hilarious introduction/history of each bridal party member, a sweet first dance for the couple and a rousing rendition of Hava Nagila by the band and guests. The couple treated their guests to a hearty meal by Brasa and pies for dessert. They were then entertained with the band, DJ, fireworks and photo booth throughout the night.

The day was full of love and friends and family were thrilled to be celebrating such a perfect couple. Congrats,  you two!

Ashley & Tom wrote the following review…

“As a born party planner myself, it is my duty to tell the world that Meredith from Bride Support is an absolute Rock Star when it comes to coordinating a wedding! From the moment we first connected I was impressed. When I sent out inquiry emails to several planners, she was the only one who got back to me within minutes (the others got back to me days later). I felt like she had my back throughout the entire process. Every frantic email I sent her and every weird request I asked of her and every crazy question I couldn’t find the answer to, she was their to help me, to relax me and to make me feel like this day was going to happen just the way I planned it in my head, and it certainly did. And this is coming from a party hostess who can never sit still at her own parties, always feeling like I need to tend to something to keep the party going, I knew I needed someone I could trust to do the job as good as me… She was better! My wedding was definitely not a textbook wedding, it was outdoors at an old run down camp with very few amenities and no support staff on duty. The way Meredith took charge of the day and the duties needed to be accomplished to recreate this space to make it magical is beyond me. Not a single detail was forgotten by her (and trust me, I am painfully detailed). I didn’t have to move a muscle the entire day, except to walk down the aisle, dance, take pictures and spend time with my loved ones. If I had to do this all over again, you can guarantee Meredith would be by my side.”

Kara & Jonathan – 9/1/12

Kara & Jon had one of the most adorable weddings of the season!¬†They booked Bride Support over the phone – due to living in CA – but we didn’t miss a beat with them. We did lots of email and phone planning and got a lot taken care of during one trip home they made for a venue walk-thru and other vendor meetings. Such a sweet couple who wanted to throw a fun party for their guests…and they did!

Their state fair themed wedding was fitting since it was the last weekend of the MN state fair. With a “blank slate” venue and some good ole creativity – the couple included lots of unique elements to showcase their fun side. The ceremony took place on a lawn at the farm with hay bales covered in quilts for seating. The aisle was lined with childhood photos of the bride and groom and a favorite moment in the ceremony was a spectacular vocalist singing Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up” during the ribbon tying ceremony (such a cool “unity”-type element!).

Afterwards, the guests all took one big group photo and then joined under the tent for cocktail hour. Guests grabbed their escort cards, which were ride tickets to specific state fair ride-labeled tables. Guests feasted on yummy Chow Girls catering while using their toy¬†whistles to get the couple to kiss – instead of the glass-clinking. Deep fried apple pie was served for dessert – yum! – and the best man’s toast was one of the best we’ve heard in awhile. Soon the cotton candy and sno-kone machines were up and running! Guests made their way into the barn for the dance, where the DJ kept the party going and guests were entertained with a candy buffet, custom penny smasher machine and photo booth. What a fun way to celebrate a fun couple!
