Renee & Mike – 6/8/2013

Renee & Mike had one of my favorite weddings in regard to theme/ambiance. They had lots of details and specifics planned for their wedding day – and wanted to make sure everything went well…that’s where we came in.

Guests were invited to the couple’s church where a meaningful and romantic ceremony officially made them Mr & Mrs. With a hand-fasting ceremony, wine ceremony and even a surprise poem from the Bride – two became one. The couple had family wedding photos hanging on the aisle pews and a fun bubble exit afterwards as they left the church.

Renee & Mike then hosted their guests at the beautiful International Market Square for the reception. With cafe lights strung from balcony to balcony and tons of fresh, bright floral – the vintage Italian-feel was obvious. Guests signed postcards in lieu of a guestbook and placed them in a trunk for the couple to take home. Table numbers were destinations and guests arrived there via their boarding pass escort cards (hanging on ivy-laden trellises, nonetheless :)). After a delicious meal and heart-felt toasts, the party got started with the couple cutting their cake – and the Bride presenting the Groom with an old-school Northstars hockey puck Groom’s cake. After dancing and enjoying each other’s company, the couple then surprised the guests one last time with a late-night snack of two of their favorite things – pizza and gelato…YUM.

What a fun “trip” this wedding was – congrats Renee & Mike!

Cara & Ben – 6/1/2013

Cara & Ben were such a fun couple to work with. They had creative minds paired with a true excitement about the real meaning of the day – getting married! Their day began at the beautiful Our Lady of Lourdes church in Northeast Minneapolis – where their family & friends watched them finally become man & wife. I’m not going to lie, I’ve cried at every one of my weddings – but I’m usually able to hold off until at least toasts or first dance. But at this one however – the photographer had no qualms about calling me out when I started tearing up already in the middle of the ceremony! :) I just love love. :) Anyway – the ceremony was beautiful, and the Bride was definitely beaming the whole time…and she looked radiant in her floral crown. The guys weren’t too bad either – in their bow ties and vests. Good work, guys.

Guests were welcomed to the Day Block Building for the reception – such a unique and “blank slate” place that is fun to dress up to your liking. With food by Brasa – guests were sure to be taken care of in the food department, too! They found their seats by matching the state on their escort card to the state in the centerpiece of the table (and no, I had no problems calling on my geography skills while trying to figure out which way the state cut-out was to stand :)). A unique decor element that this couple used was cakes – cakes on every  guest table! There was plenty to go around and it was a fun way to get guests to mingle and share. Some of the best toasts/speeches I’ve heard came from the bridal party and the couple – they have such a sweet story. With a signature drink that combined their two last names and the music stylings of Midwest Sound – the reception was good to go.

Congratulations, Cara & Ben!

Stefanie & Josh – 5/25/2013

Stefanie & Josh came to me with not much time left before their wedding – needing some help pulling it all together, making sure they had thought of everything and of course – making the day run smoothly. We worked quickly and efficiently together to firm up their plans and details and the day was gorgeous, indeed!

OK – so the weather was a bit windy and cloudy, but that’s OK…what matters most is that they got married! Guests waited until the last minute to take their seat in the outdoor amphitheater and the ceremony went on. With a friend officiating – the wedding was personalized and romantic and perfect for the couple. Guests filtered back inside after the couple dismissed them from their seats and cocktail hour and dinner began in the gorgeous Carlson Towers Rotunda. Guests enjoyed the yummy meal, funny speeches and filling out advice mad-lib cards for the couple to read later on. What fun! The DJ got the party going…and party they did.

Congrats, you two! :)

Gretchen & Jimmy – 5/18/2013

The mother of the Bride came to Bride Support during her daughter’s engagement in hopes of finding someone to help manage the details of the day so that she – as well as her husband and the Bride & Groom – could actually enjoy the day and take care of their guests on the wedding day. Gretchen and her mother were both very organized and on top of things – so they were great to work with. It was a pleasure to help put everything together, coordinate vendors for them and ensure that they could truly be present on the big day while we worried about the rest.

Their day began at the Bride’s beautiful home church in Wayzata where a touching and personal ceremony finally made them man and wife. The sermon about a park bench is one that will even stick with me – as well as many guests, I’m sure…and of course, the couple. Beautiful music by guitarist, Brendan, added a classy touch to an already gorgeous locale. Guests then ventured to downtown Minneapolis to The Woman’s Club for cocktail hour & the reception. What a unique and beautiful setting The Woman’s Club offered. Gretchen & Jimmy opted for a more relaxed reception – with stations of food instead of a formal sit-down dinner – which encouraged guests to mingle and enjoy themselves as if at the couple’s home. It was quite lovely – the food was great, the soft furniture was comfortable and then the dance added in a bit of a party atmosphere. The couple made their  entrance down a grand staircase and after some sweet toasts and dances – the couple opened up the ice cream bar for dessert.

What a lovely day for a classy couple. Congrats, Gretchen & Jimmy!

Gretchen & Jimmy wrote the following review…

I don’t care if you are the most organized person in the world, when your big day has finally arrived, you need someone like Meredith to be coordinating all of the details. The day would not have been as enjoyable if we did not have her with us to take care of all the little things that pop up and to keep us on track. She was organized, calm, and easygoing, which I think is a rarity when it comes to wedding planners. She let us have our moments without rushing us through anything, but kept us on time so we could make the most of the day. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a day of coordinator!

The mother of the Bride, Anita, wrote the following review…

Meredith managed all of the details perfectly. Although she managed the day of coordination she did so much more, meeting when we needed to to verify and confirm details.

My first conversation with her was that, my daughter lives out of state, we have friends and family coming from across the country and I wanted our guests to come and enjoy the celebration, not have to help with miscellaneous things, and that I would be able to enjoy the day as well.

Meredith did all of this and more, we had no worries, she coordinated with our vendors, made certain that the timeline we all agreed to was followed and inserted flexibility when necessary. Our day was absolutely perfect and I give a tremendous amount of that credit to Meredith. Thank you.

Chelsea & Marc – 5/4/2013

Chelsea & Marc’s wedding was an especially fun one to be a part of since Chelsea is one of Bride Support’s coordinator’s sister! Marisa knew her sister would need some help and Chelsea was happy to oblige to the assistance of our team.

With a sharp looking bridal party and a fun & relaxed atmosphere – Chelsea and Marc made it down the aisle and through a meaningful and funny ceremony at the church they attend together. They traveled to some local spots to do some special photos with their friends and then made their way to the Crow River Winery for the reception. What a treat it was to be at this brand new wedding venue – and a beautiful one, it is! Guests enjoyed the tasting room area and cocktail hour in the main space with tasteful appetizers and passed champagne. The reception was a fun and boisterous one! The DJ got the couple laughing with the shoe game and the crowd interactive with games and props. This crowd sure knew how to party – what a celebration!

Here’s to you, Chelsea & Marc!

Carmen & Cory – 4/13/13

Carmen & Cory contacted Bride Support while planning their wedding from out of state. While living in Virginia, they were looking forward to their Minnesota wedding – but having a main contact here was a nice asset for them. I helped suggest vendors in the area who could serve them well and made sure that their wedding was all lined up to go perfectly once they arrived here for the big day. Although April was a bit colder (and more snow flying!) than we had hoped for…the day still went on!

We ran a rehearsal first thing in the morning, once everyone was in town and then separated the bridal party for getting ready. The venue got dressed up for their shabby chic day while the bridal party and families took photos around the picturesque venue. Once ceremony time came – guests were seated up in the loft of the barn in pews, while listening to some of the coolest ceremony music I’ve heard – a trio of guitar, banjo and fiddle (from a group that the couple plays with in VA!). After the sweet ceremony, guests headed downstairs to the main room of the barn for cocktail hour and dinner. Once the dance ensued back upstairs in the loft – dessert was served and the DJ kept the party going…including a portion of the string group coming back out – even with the Bride playing the washboard!

What a fun and genuine wedding day for a sweet couple. Congrats, you two!

Carmen & Cory wrote the following review…

“Meredith’s help is exactly what I needed. She put my mind at ease during the planning process and helped me make sure everything was covered. She would respond to my emails and phone calls very quickly, and was always upbeat, positive, and friendly. The day-of, all of my anxiety disappeared once she took over. She handled everything so I was able to sit back and enjoy the day. In fact, I’m sure there are many issues she took care of that I am completely unaware of. Kinda nice not to have to deal with issues during your wedding day, let me tell you! I could not recommend her more!”

Jessica & Mike – 4/6/13

Jessica & Mike were such a sweet couple to work with on their laid-back, romantic wedding.

The day started off with an intimate first look at the conservatory at the Minneapolis sculpture garden – such an idyllic place for a moment like that! Soon enough, the bridal party and families congregated at FIVE Event Center in the heart of Minneapolis. FIVE is such a unique and fun place to host guests – so fun! One unique item that I loved seeing in the details before the ceremony was that the couple opted to give the three ring bearers a unique take on boutonnieres – miniature super hero figurines on magnets! The boys were thrilled to get to put them on their shirts. :) The candlelit ceremony was super sweet and meaningful to the couple with a relative as the officiant and a phenomenal vocalist/guitarist who made it beautiful. After the ceremony, guests moved downstairs for cocktail hour while the upstairs area was flipped to reception set-up. Once welcomed back up, guests were treated to a dinner, hilarious toasts by those close to the couple and a great dance party.

Congratulations, Jessica & Mike – it was a pleasure being a part of your big day!

Jessica and Mike wrote the following review…

“Meredith did a great job as our day-of wedding coordinator! She was very organized and extremely helpful with any questions that I had during the planning process. Our wedding ceremony and reception went really well – and it was great not having to worry about anything since Meredith helped so much on our big day. I would definitely recommend Meredith to future brides and grooms!”
